LaDonna
received the CERTIFIED SPEAKING PROFESSIONAL (CSP) designation at
the 2002 National Speakers Association (NSA) convention in Orlando,
Florida.
What is the CSP?
The CSP is an earned designation awarded
by the National Speakers Association. Fewer than 500 professional
speakers worldwide hold a CSP designation.
7 Objectives a CSP
must complete:
Maintain membership in
NSA for 3 consecutive years and subscribe to the Code of
Professional Ethics
Submit names of 100 different
clients to whom they have presented in the past 5 years
Submit a list of 250
speaking engagements for which they have been paid a professional
fee during the previous 5 years with a minimum of 20 presentations
per year
Submit a significant
number of testimonial letters from clients who recommend
them as a professional speaker
Continue education in
the field of professional speaking through NSA Workshops,
earning a minimum of 30 educational units every 5 years
Why should you hire a CSP?
The success of your meeting or conference will be judged largely on
the caliber, professionalism and appropriateness of the topic and
presenter(s) you select. Choosing a CSP maximizes your opportunity
of providing a speaker with a proven track record.
